It doesn’t get any easier than staying right where you are and letting OHL come to you to conduct your COVID test.
COVID testing and convenience may not seem like synonymous concepts, but as we return to our new ‘new normal,’ new ways of getting tested make the process easier than ever before. Same-day PCR COVID testing can keep a person, a business running, and even a film production on schedule, but sometimes getting the right person tested in a timely fashion isn’t easy.
That’s why we here at One Health Labs (OHL) launched our concierge COVID testing program, which makes COVID testing smooth and seamless, letting the person who is getting tested do so right in the comfort of their home, hotel room, or wherever they’d like us to come to conduct the test.
How does it work? There are two options for individualized testing: our ‘backpack’ service and virtual self-collection. Both options bring the testing to you during the time frame you need it.
Backpack Service
We will send a registered nurse to your home, office, festival, or film set trailer to conduct the test, whether it is a nasal or oral pharyngeal swab, with same-day results. The test itself takes 15 to 30 minutes and results are delivered within 2-24 hours, depending on the individual’s need.
“We can test anyone, anywhere, at any time, as long as it’s prearranged,” says Blaze Stow, OHL’s senior manager of operations.
Virtual Self-Collection
With this option, we send the client a box with all the supplies needed to conduct the test and a virtual technician to guide them through the testing and the appropriate method of handling and packaging the sample for transport. Once collected, we can send a driver to pick up the sample and deliver it to the lab or they can bring it directly to the lab. Clients can choose to conduct a STAT test, which returns results in two to three hours, otherwise the standard turnaround time is 24 hours.
Preparation is simple with both these service options. The individual needs to sanitize their hands before and after the collection. We can also provide supervised self-collection for children or the backpack service.
The Process
Both of these services can be performed with 48-hour notice, and sometimes less, depending on location and availability of technical staff. Depending on an individual’s needs and comfort level, both these options will deliver a quality sample and timely results that customers can count on.
